Ice Cream

posted Wednesday, 14 June 2006

I like ice cream. I like the cones. I like the popsicles. I like the bowl. I like the scoop out of tub. I even like deep fried ice cream. What I cant stand is ice cream trucks. How many times a day do I have to hear 'tinkle tinkle tinkle tnkley tinkley, tinkle tinkle tinkle tinkley" ? I assumed in our technologically advanced society some moron would have come up with something a little better then "tinkle tinkle etc." They did it in phones. Some guy decided meetings would sound better if broken up by 50 cent with real music then a bunch of boops and beeps that if you close your eyes, hold your nose and tilt your head sideways, actually sound a little like the song they are pretending to be. what would be the big deal to the same for the ice cream truck?

On an unrelated topic, if I was gonna have to go by car accident, my choice would definitely be getting run over by an ice cream truck. What more could you ask then the last thing you see are childrens happy faces, the last thing you hear is tinkley tinkle tinkle, and the last thing you smell is chocolate fudge creamsicles? It beats screeeeech! crunch! thump! any day.

I love the tinkle from the ice cream trucks! When I hear the first one of the season, it makes me feel all excited for the summer. Those trucks bring back my youth. They're a reminder of the days we used to chase those trucks for blocks until the driver would notice us and would pull over, and we'd eagerly run over to him, panting from the chase, elated that we'd caught him, and even more excited for the ice cream. Though I was only allowed to get the firecracker since nothing was cholov yisroel :( And it's really funny that you used 50 cent as an example. Last year in sem, one of the rabbis teaching us got a phone call in the middle of class. All of a sudden "in da club" explodes out of his shirt pocket, full volume. You shoulda seen him pull out his phone from his pocket, all embarrassed, trying to explain to us how his michlelet esther students changed his ringtone, and he didn't know how to reset it. Wow - that was a long comment. Almost as long as your post :)

yeah, i guess im getting tired of the tinkling. (or the dunderheaded nitwit ice cream truck driver who insists on parking right outside my window. i mean what would b the big deal 2 shut it off when he parks? but no, it goes on and on, over and over. maybe he thinks il buy his ice cream just 2 get him away from me.)

dont worry ur not missing much. (if it really bothers u, u can drive around eating ice cream and blasting annoying music.)

The worst is those ice cream cart bikes. They don't even have a cute tinkley tune. They just have this annoying bell, and they are in every single park (at least in Chicago) and they always follow my friends and me!

funny again I think you are one of those ppl like cellar door that whatever you say is funny. I always thought so on h.com. I never really minded the twinkle. Now I don't like it because my daughter will ask me every time for me to buy her icecream. Do you know who I am on h.com? Why don't you check out my blog if you haven't and comment so I will know you read it. I always can use more humor.
